Keepmoat starts work on 217-home development

Keepmoat Homes has commenced work on its Lyndon Park development in Great Harwood, Hyndburn, which will deliver 217 new homes.

The development – which will see the housebuilder work in partnership with Hyndburn Council and Reilly Developments – will deliver a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom family homes, including bungalows.

The scheme is being built on land close to the south of Harwood Lane and will also deliver new play equipment and an improved pedestrian link between Lyndon Avenue and Balfour Street.

Keepmoat added that 20% of the new homes would be affordable.

Gareth Roberts, regional managing director for Keepmoat Homes in the North West, said it was delighted to be working in partnership with Hyndburn Council.

“The new homes we’re building for Great Harwood, which have already garnered significant interest from customers, will help to address housing need within the town and also attract new people to the area, boosting the local economy.”

The first new homes are set to be completed in June 2018, with some homes being available for the government’s Help to Buy scheme.
